Ticino dwellings (18th-19th c.)AbstractThe gallery had many uses: hanging out laundry, storing wood, ripening fruit, drying rye or corn. Inside, there was no living room. A large part of daily life took place in the living kitchen where, in winter, the inhabitants stood around the fire to keep warm.
