Lago di Poschiavo

Lake Poschiavo lies south of the village that gives its name to Val Poschiavo, the remote valley in Italian-speaking Graubünden that can only be reached via the Bernina Pass on the Swiss side and the Valtelline on the Italian side.

It is a natural lake 2.5 km long, bordered on the west by the Bernina Express railway line and the road into Italy.

A flat hiking trail runs all the way around the lake, with some tunnel sections on the steeper eastern side.
