Rossens DamAbstractCompleted in 1948 on the course of the Sarine River (Saane in German), the Rossens arch dam is 320m long and 83m high. The Sarine has its source at the Sanetsch Pass above Savièse in the canton of Valais and after passing through Fribourg to the north, it flows into the Aare at Golaten in the Bernese Mittelland.
