Castle SquareAbstractThe entire medieval town is laid out in concentric circles around its Castle Square, where stands the beautiful fountain of Saint-Leo, which dates from the mid-19th century. It features a statue of Bruno d'Eguisheim (1002-1054), son of the Count of Eguisheim and Nordgau, who became Pope in 1049 under the name of Leo IX.
