Market Square (Lion Fountain)AbstractWe are now heading towards the west of the square and the temple. We will pass by the Lion Fountain, erected in 1576 following a treaty between representatives of the abbey and of the town and valley, guaranteeing the inhabitants greater independence, including the right to freely practise the Reformed religion.
