MaxenhausAbstractLocated on the Dorfplatz (Village Square), this very old house was built in the mid-16th century. On its other façade, at the foot of the ‘Stalde’ which winds its way up towards the old church, there is a door with a slot which is said to be the oldest letterbox in Switzerland, dating back to the time when Napoleon’s armies occupied the country.
