Abstract

The church in Blatten is surprising, to say the least, in the middle of this very traditional village! The old neo-Gothic church dating from 1877 was demolished and replaced in 1985 by this modern-style building, which contrasts sharply with the wooden chalets, some of which date back to the 16th century. But once you get past the initial surprise, this bold style proves to be quite seductive...
