In the old village (3)

Abstract

On the banks of the Gisentella torrent, which flows through the village and into the Lonza, these old buildings were once a sawmill. Further up the torrent is a small hydroelectric power station that supplies electricity even in the middle of winter. The first electricity was generated on this stream in 1916, almost 40 years before the carriage road was built!
