Abstract

Here we see the north façade of the Maxenhaus, at the foot of the Stalde, which leads up to the former Burgkirche. The extension, with its arches and colonnades, dates from 1702, but the lower storey was submerged during a flood of the Bietschbach stream, and the lower columns are buried beneath the backfills almost up to their capitals.
