Foire des PlanchesEach year, the last week-end of October, the Montreux Old Town lives one of the most typical Montreux events: the "Foire des Planches"!Opening Friday at 6 p.m. and closing Sunday at 6 p.m., the old town vibrates with young - and less young - people participating in this event that dates back to more than 200 years. The origin of this event was a market to buy and sell cows and other farm animals. Today, the Society of development of the Montreux Old Town (SDVVM) organises various animations, with handicraft and old cellars animated until far in the night... An event not to be missed!
The SDVVM also organises other activities during the year in the old town.
