Eglise Saint-Symphorien (2)AbstractBuilt between 1515 and 1520 on the ruins of a Roman villa, the church of Saint-Saphorin became a reformed temple in 1536, after the Bernese conquest. For reasons that remain unknown, the spire of its bell tower was never built, giving this unfinished ridge a characteristic silhouette, unique in the Canton of Vaud.
