BundesplatzAbstractThe Bundesplatz, or Federal Square (literally: Alliance Square) lies in front of the Federal Palace, the seat of government. Unlike other countries, Switzerland does not have a capital. Bern is the "federal city", a name that reminds that the country is an alliance of partially autonomous states, the "cantons".
