Fond Villa

Abstract

The picturesque lower part of the village, on the valley side, is still very authentic. There are beautiful traditional houses, mazots, and raccards. Mazots are small chalets that were used for storage, while raccards are granaries built on vertical pieces of wood ("pilets") topped with a stone disc ("palet") to prevent rodents from getting in.
