Felsenkirche Entrance

Abstract

This is the perfect place to start your visit to Raron: the free car park at St Michael’s Church. But the Felsenkirche (‘Rock Church’) is not the one perched on the rock, despite appearances. It is entirely underground, carved out of the rock beneath the old Burgkirche. The entrance is just below the bells you can see here.
